Aubrey's Arm Take 2 (or 3 or 4)

Well, after two nurses and 4 attempts they finally got an IV in Aubrey. This time they put her out, for the most part, and put her fingers in traction and let her little arm hang so they could manipulate it and it worked! It was a little rough going out and coming back but she got her stickers and that made it at least a little better. So now she will get her permanent cast Wednesday instead of tomorrow since it will swell again.

I have a couple pictures of her arm getting fixed and a much happier one on my lap! =)

Back We Go

We're on our way (as soon as the girls wake up) back to the ER to have Aubrey's arm set for the fourth time. It's just too far bent still. =(

Aubrey's Arm

So I was taking a nap yesterday when I heard a thud followed by crying. I lept as fast as I could off the couch and in the girls' room to find Aubrey on the floor. As soon as I saw her arm, I knew it was broken. I frantically made a couple of phone calls and off we zoomed (literally 70 mph in a 45 mph zone) the 15 minutes to town. I figured if I was pulled over they could escort me to the hospital! =)

Aubrey was SUCH a good girl. She ended up with both bones in her forearm broken. Overall, they set her arm 3 times and she had 4 rounds of xrays. She only cried when they were moving the bone in her arm. She was so hungry since she hadn't eaten since 11 am and we didn't get to leave until 9 pm. But she got her "Old McDonald's" and was happy as can be. Might've been some of the meds they gave her! =)

She only complains a little of it hurting. She has been a real trooper through it all. Monday we go get the permanent cast put on. She has a request in for pink!

It seems like every once in awhile, I have one of these posts apologizing for not keeping up on my blogging. Well, here it is again. I have really been out of bloggingdom for eleventy years it seems like. So once again, I resolve to do better on blogging. Afterall, it just may be the very break I need!

Perfectly Content

I went in to tuck Aubrey in bed (AGAIN) and found this precious little angel sleeping like this. Doesn't get much better than that!

All of us, in the past week, had haircuts. Aubrey's was the most dramatic and I think it looks absolutely adorable on her!

Last night was our church Christmas Party and of course there was a special guest! Kyle wants a fishing pole, Aubrey wants a baby with jammies and Olivia wants butterfly wings. We'll see what the jolly old soul can do!
